Images from the Expanded Long Beach Comic Expo 2014

The newly expanded Long Beach Comic Expo took place this past weekend over 2 days instead of its usual single day mini event and fans filled the show floor within minutes of the doors opening on Saturday.

Held on the upper floors of the convention center for the first time, the show provided room for artists, exhibitors, collectibles vendors, fan clubs, and cosplay teams ample room to interact with the excited attendees. The panel rooms were right down the hall featured topics that covered cosplay, podcasting, working as a freelancer, self-publishing, and intimate chats with comic creators like Steve Niles, Gerry Conway, Tim Bradstreet, and Marv Wolfman.

Of course, you couldn’t have a con without cosplay – And there was plenty of it! Check out our gallery of this year’s 2014 Long Beach Comic Expo, featuring more than a few new cosplay outfits we’ve never seen before.

Long Beach’s follow up, which is a much bigger show, simply called the Long Beach Comic-Con, arrives this fall on September 27th and 28th, once again at the Long Beach Convention Center.
