How To Train Your Dragon 2 – Watch the First 5 Minutes Here!

The How to Train Your Dragon 2 panel at WonderCon gave us a few juicy bits of information on the upcoming Dreamworks film, but none of it was as thrilling as finally seeing the first full 5 minutes of the film among thousands of die hard fans, including a few dressed as Astrid and Hiccup.

Now, thanks to the wonderful people at Dreamworks Animation, you can see the same exact clip we saw at WonderCon 2014 (above).

What the tease doesn’t give you are the facts that director Dean DeBlois and star Jay Baruchel (Hiccup) shared with the crowd that packed the Anaheim Convention Center area last Saturday:

• How to Train Your Dragon 2 takes place five years after the first film. Hiccup is now 20.
• Hiccup carries a number of cool gadgets in addition to the ones that help him fly with Toothless. He actually has a fire sword that he created.
• Djimon Hounsou voices the film’s main villain, Drago Bludvist.
• This film is the 2nd in an intended trilogy.
• By the end of the trilogy, we will learn more about the Night Furies, the breed of dragon that Toothless belongs to.
