Mortal Kombat returns with the all-new next-gen Mortal Kombat X.
If you’re an old school arcade gamer, odds are that you’ve spent more time in local pizza places dropping quarters into the Mortal Kombat machines than you did eating the pizza. The fighting game genre has exploded and mutated over the years, but it wouldn’t be the same without the inclusion of a Mortal Kombat title in your home console or high end PC rig.
This little tease features a brutal battle between popular characters Sub-Zero and Scorpion – TO THE DEATH! Would you expect anything less? And it looks like the next-gen graphics are going to take the bloody action to the next level, despite fears that diluting the title for consistency between current and last gen consoles might weaken the quality of the look and game play.
Here is what Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment President Martin Tremblay had to say via a Warner Bros press release:
Mortal Kombat is our acclaimed, world-renowned franchise and we are now advancing the fighting genre with Mortal Kombat X: NetherRealm Studios is best in class at delivering games fans love and they are taking their iconic brand to the next level with Mortal Kombat X.
Mortal Kombat X will be available for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2015.
