Although Activision is still set to announce something big this Sunday, May 4th, the Call of Duty folks have officially released the first trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, starring Kevin Spacey.
Chewing up lines and spitting them out with an extra bit of venom is Spacey’s stock-in-trade (see House of Cards), so he fits perfectly into his role as a big shot power broker on a tirade, explaining the failure of democracy over in-game footage of everything blowing the crap out of everything else. One would imagine that the actual full monologue from the cut scene we are shown above will probably have a bit more pointedly punctuated profanity in it (he’s good at that too).
In all, this is probably just a glimpse of what’s to come on May 4th as well as what Activision will be bringing to E3 2014. From what we can see so far, we’re getting a graphical update courtesy of Sledgehammer Games and should be available on all current and last-gen consoles, as well as PC.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is expected to hit shelves and console download queues November 4th, 2014.
