Interstellar Full Trailer Takes McConaughey Out of This World

I know it’s a dumb and easy pun, but it’s true. Interstellar sends the pilot, engineer, and family man into the far reaches of space to save Earth from starvation.

According to the trailer, the world is drying up and there is very little food left. So it’s time to find a new home. Leaving his kids behind, McConaughey is sent on an interstellar mission to find a new world using a warp enabled spaceship and a wormhole. Not sure. All we really know is that his daughter is named Murphy’s Law. Or just Murphy. Or “Murphy’s” and their last name is Law. I have no idea. I just don’t feel like checking IMDB right now.

The other thing we know is that Alfred has a lot more time on his hands now that Batman blew himself up/went to France, because Michael Caine is also in the film (along with Catwoman/Anne Hathaway, leaving Bruce to putter around France by himself apparently), probably to give wisdom and reassurance and possibly a speech about responsibility at a time when McConaughey is doubting himself the most.

Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Either way, I’m looking forward to Insterstellar in November. How about you?
