Discovery Times Square Opens Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. to Fans

In an exclusive sneak preview for a select number of media representatives and guests, Discovery Times Square on 44th Street opened its doors early to give us a sneak peek at the new exhibit that’s taken over their little corner of the city.

Packed with props and costumes from the blockbuster film and mixed with an interactive component that draws kids young and old into the experience of being a part of S.H.I.E.L.D. (not Hydra) and the Avengers, the exhibit gave everyone a little something to ooh and ahh over. With over 10,000 square feet to explore and over 140 video screens throughout the exhibit, Avengers fans can explore the neurological effects on Bruce Banner’s brain when he transforms into the Hulk, they can navigate a simulated flight pattern using Iron Man’s heads up display, and they can map out the stars in Thor’s Cosmic Observatory to find his homeworld of Asgard.

The project was started back in 2012, soon after the movie roared into theaters, by Victory Hill Exhibitions in a partnership with Discovery Times Square and Marvel Entertainment, was made to capture the imaginations of superhero fans and young explorers of science and technology.

The exhibit is open daily at 226 West 44th Street, just off of Broadway in Times Square between 7th and 8th streets and is scheduled to run from May 30th through January 5th, 2015. If you’re in New York City sometime in the next few months, check it out by reserving your tickets at www.DiscoveryTSX.com or calling them at 1-866-987-9692. Or if you’re in the city, you can always pick up tickets at the box office if they’re not already sold out for the day (as they are all this weekend).

Here are just a few of the images we captured at the special sneak preview event for the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N exhibit.
