Batman vs Superman has Found a Cyborg in Ray Fisher

According to Variety, stage actor Ray Fisher has been tapped to play Cyborg in the upcoming as yet unnamed “Batman vs Superman” film from Warner Bros.

While the role won’t likely be that significant, it is one more step toward building a Justice League movie that we’ll one day get confirmation is actually 100% happening. Sure, we all believe it’s happening and Warner Bros may have said it’s happening, but until they can give us a director, a release date, a cast, and maybe an actual name for the movie that’s likely going to lead into it, I’m not sure we can take those promises at face value. Sure, they say Ben Affleck will be playing Batman, but that might just be something they threw at us to distract us from giddily gushing over a Marvel movie that stars a talking raccoon AND WILL ACTUALLY BE IN THEATERS THIS SUMMER!

Now all we need is Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman cast and tossed in front of a drooling crowd at San Diego Comic-Con this summer to make us all believe it’s really actually for really reals happening.

Until then, Ray Fisher can spend his time doing his thing on Broadway, possibly appearing in Star Wars Episode VII (another movie in need of a title and a real cast list), and working out to look buff enough to have his entire body covered up with metal in time for his likely 2 minute scene in “Batman vs Superman“. Of course, he might not don the cyborg body parts at all in the Man of Steel sequel. Maybe he’ll be a normal guy until whatever crap Superman and Batman get into smashes up S.T.A.R. Labs, leaving him for dead, only to reappear in Justice League as Cyborg. You never know…
